X-10 Motion Flood Lights

I have the PR511 Flood lights. They always stay on and I already try the reset that X-10 siad to do but that Still Doesn't work. It will not even accept commands. The circuit has is a Switch for the flood lights on it. Is it possibile that is making it not work correctly? Any ideas?

Did you verify the Black wire comming from the flood light sockets is only connected to the Blue control wire? If its connected to hot then the lights will stay on whenever the power is on. (see the diagram on page 4 bottom left)

Are you using regular flood lights and NOT the compact Fluorescents? Most X10 devices hate compact fluorescents.

Every one of the motion lights I've had makes a soft click when the light tries to turn on or off. Do you hear the click? Atleast you'd know the device is trying to switch.

Possibly an issue:
Did you verify all the start codes are not in use by other devices? This device uses 9 unit codes. The first for itself and the next sequential 8 for outbound control. Although the instructions don't say it, this makes me wonder what happens if you choose a unit code greater than 7. I doubt this is the problem but its easy to check/try.

Triple Check the wiring. Using Hologen floods, Don't hear the click and When I do go in front of the motion sensor My chime that is the next number 2 on the house code. goes off like it should when I go by the sensor but then lights never go off.

If the wiring is good then it sounds like its broken. Time to exchange it.
