I have 3 of these sensor but 1 pat01 reciever my question is do I need 3 reciever to work 3 different rooms or is there a way to make it work with one ?

It should only require 1 transceiver. The PMS02 (Hawkeye) can be programmed to a unique address (I believe it is inside the battery compartment, see you instruction manual for more details). Program them so they are all on the same house code, but different unit codes. The PAT01 (RR501) house code dial should be set to the same house code letter as what was used in programming the PMS02.

This is something that I just figured out last week:
If your using the standard x10 wireless reciever and range is not an issue, place the reciever as close to hal's xciever as possible. I have mine on the same outlet. This is because the x10 signal sent from this device is much weaker than higher quality devices. I was getting only about 80% success rate before I moved the device. Now it works every time. This is a simple fix to a very frustrating problem.
