How do I have several lights turn off with only one command?

  • Right-click on the ear icon and select OPEN AUTOMATION SETUP SCREEN (or go to Start... Programs... HAL... HAL Automation Setup).

  • Click on TASKS at the top of the HAL Automation screen.

  • Click on GROUPED TASKS (MACROS) in the middle of the screen, if it's not already selected.

  • Click ADD at the bottom of the screen or ADD MACRO on the left side of the screen. The Group Task Add Wizard will appear. Fill in the information in that screen.

  • Click OK to save the information and close the Group Task Add screen.

  • Click ADD ACTION. The Action Wizard screen will appear. Select an action to be carried out, such as having a group of lights turn off. Click OK to save the action and close the Action Wizard screen.

  • Repeat Step 5 to add additional actions to the grouped task.

  • Tell HAL to run that group task or start the task as an action in a Mode, Schedule, or Task.
