How do I view music by artist, album, song, genre, or year?

Solution
  • Open the main HALdmc screen by right-clicking on the ear icon and selecting OPEN DIGITAL MUSIC CENTER. (This option was added when the HALdmc was installed.)

  • In the lower left corner of the HALdmc screen, click the down arrow. The Custom Song List, Current Song List, and Master Song List fields will appear. If you do not see column headings in the Master Song List field, then proceed to Step 3. Otherwise, proceed to Step 4.

  • Next to the Master Song List title is a right arrow. Click this button. A pop-up menu will appear with two options. The first option will say VIEW SONGS BY LIST. Click this option. The display in the Master Song List field will now have column headings.

  • Click one of the buttons along the bottom of the screen to sort the music in the Master Song List field by that button. In other words, to sort the information alphabetically by artist name, click on the button ARTIST. You can also click on the column heading to sort the music by that column. Click it again to sort it in reverse alphabetical order.
