I get a "DLL Failed on ASR database function" error when I try to install or run HAL.

Error message when installing HAL:
ERROR: DLL Failed on ASR database function. Command is asrDbCreate with parameters Microphone HAL2000, C:\Program Files\Home Automated Living ASR\311\Microphone HAL2000. Please call technical support with this information. Result is 57

NOTE: In some cases, "asrDbCreate" may be "asrDbDelete".

Follow the steps below to correct this error:

Go to Start... Programs... Windows Explorer.
Navigate to the folder where HAL was installed (default is c:\Program Files\HAL).
Look for a folder labeled "ASR". Left-click on the folder to highlight it then click the DELETE button on the keyboard, or right-click on the folder and select DELETE from the menu that pops up.

If there is no "ASR" folder in the HAL program folder, then go to the Program Files folder on your C: drive and look for a folder called "Home Automated Living ASR". Left-click on that folder to highlight it then click the DELETE button on the keyboard, or right-click on the folder and select DELETE from the menu that pops up.

Reboot the computer.
Reinstall HAL.

How do I move the HAL data that I created on one computer to another computer?
